  1. Coon Lake Community Center Pancake Breakfast - CANCELLED

    August 19, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Coon Lake Community Center

    The Coon Lake Community Center is hosting a pancake/french toast breakfast. Come and enjoy all you can eat pancakes or french toast, a serving of bacon or sausage, coffee or milk, and a small orange juice. A la carte items include juice, milk, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and coffee. Located lake side at 182 Forest Road. In the summer you can dock your boat at the Community Center dock. Otherwise drive or walk on over for breakfast and visit with your area residents. Maybe you can also catch an egret having his breakfast on the beach.

  2. Battle of the Badges, Police/Fire - Anoka County Sheriff's Office Blood Drive

    August 21, 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ Anoka County Sheriff's Office

    The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with Memorial Blood Centers' Battle of the Badges event that challenges fire and law enforcement agencies across the greater metropolitan area in a friendly-competitive race to save and sustain lives through blood donations. We are hosting our blood drive on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. Bring the community together by inviting friends and family to donate blood. Please help us by scheduling a donation! To sign up online, go to www.mbc.org/searchdrives and enter sponsor code 3820 or contact Kelly Haigh at 763-324-5010 or kelly.haigh@co.anoka.mn.us. Bring your ID, eat before donating, and no cold or flu symptoms for three days. The race to save lives in our community begins now. Join in the fun!

  3. "A Walk in the Garden" Educational Series

    August 22, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Veteran's Memorial Garden located at the south end of the Bunker Hills Activities Center building

    This educational series by the U of M Extension, Anoka County Master Gardener Volunteer program is held in the summer and is a free class for adults and families. Suggested donations of $5 per class are welcome. The class on August 22, 2018 is Herbs: How to Grow, Harvest, and Preserve Them. Call or visit the website for more information.
