East Bethel Booster Day
East Bethel Booster Days is a long standing tradition in northern Anoka County. We are a family oriented event that celebrates the City of East Bethel and all of the people who reside here. It will be held on Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th, 2019. For more information on how to participate or volunteer for next years Booster days, come to our meetings or contact the coordinator of events by email. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our event! All meetings are open to the public.

Our next Booster Day meeting is Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at East Bethel City Hall. We will review our 2018 events and begin to plan for next year.

Currently we are looking for a Vendor Market Coordinator.

NEW! 2018 Coloring Contest - open to all kids age 3 to 12
The 2018 Coloring Contest sheet is available now! Coloring sheet is also available at city hall. Color the picture and recreate local artist, Glenn Terry's painting, "Spring Birches Over Cedar Creek". Be creative, be colorful, have fun, and you could win $25.00! One winner will be chosen from each age group: ages 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, and 11-12. Entries must be received by July 13, 2018. Winners will be announced July 21st at Booster Days and on display at Booster Park!

Monday, July 16th - Citywide Medallion Hunt
After only one clue, the medallion has been found! More details will be released as soon as they are available. Congratulations winner!

Friday, July 20th – Morning Golf Tournament and Family Fun Night

Golf Tournament Sponsored by the East Bethel Chamber of Commerce
The 2018 5th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, July 20th at Viking Meadows Golf Club. Shotgun start begins at 11:00 a.m. Register early as they are expecting to sell out again this year. For more information, see the 2018 5th Annual Golf Outing flyer

Movie in the Park - Booster Park West
Bring along a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a starlit night of fun with friends and family! Our movie in the park provides a fun time of watching an outdoor film at Booster Park. Movie in the park events are free and open to the public. Start times are approximate; movies typically begin at dusk, but may start earlier or later. Some offer pre-show activities. Movies are weather dependent and subject to change without notice. All children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No alcohol permitted.

Our July 20, 2018 movie in the park is sponsored by Chops, Inc. This year's movie is Ghostbusters rated PG. Pre-movie activities begin at 8:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, movie will be shown in council chambers at East Bethel City Hall.

Saturday, July 21st - Family Fun Day

5K Run and 1K Kids Fun Run/Walk
Come and join us for our 10th annual 5K Run and Kids 1K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, July 21st! 5K Run will begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. The Kids 1K will begin at 9:15 a.m. Registration table will be located behind East Bethel City Hall. Kiddie Parade - This year's theme is ONCE UPON A TIME...
Calling all kids! Dress up as your favorite book character! There will be a Booster Day Kiddie Parade on Saturday, July 21st. Line up and registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at tennis courts in Booster Park East. Judging begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and parade begins immediately after judging. Prizes and goodie bags will be handed out at the finish of the kiddie parade. Special prizes awarded in each parade age group. For more information, see the Kiddie Parade Flyer.

Grand Parade
The 18th Annual Booster Day Parade will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. If you wish to join the fun and festivities this year, please complete the Parade Application by July 6, 2018. View the parade line-up to see what position you are in the parade or to see who will be in the parade. If you have any questions, please contact the coordinator of events by email. Jack and Kitty are high school sweethearts that play "Organic Vaudeville and Jug Band Folk" music. Kitty is the niece of reggae legend Bunny Wailer (of Bob Marley and the Wailers) and Jack's babysitter was ukulele oddball Tiny Tim. The Emmy Award winning vaudevillian songsters love to perform concerts nationwide, playing a wide variety of folk instruments including: banjo, guitar, ukulele, washboard, jug, kazoo, harmonica, whizbang, rumba box, and much more. NEW! Gravel Roads Country will be taking the stage on Saturday, July 21st at 2:00 p.m. in Booster Park West!
They will be bringing us original music that is a flavor of traditional country (and a gentle taste of blues) bringing a unique sound to an inspirational set of songs. Their lyrics are intended to inspire and bring hope during both the good and bad times, and are rooted in personal experience. Along with original music, they also perform cover music in the same vein as our traditional country style and sound.

Car Show
Show up and show off! The East Bethel Booster Day Car Show is for you! Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. behind East Bethel Community Center on Saturday, July 21st with no entry fee. Car show is from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., rain or shine. Trophies for first, second, and third place winners, plus People's Choice award. Music, food, beverages, and family fun all on site. Bring a donation or a non-perishable food item to help support NACE, our local food shelf. For more information, contact Dan Dobbs at 612-328-3926.

Congratulations to the 2018-2019 East Bethel Royalty who were crowned on July 22, 2018 at the Coronation Fiesta! They are (from left to right):

They will spend the next year volunteering and traveling around the State of Minnesota and western Wisconsin representing the community. 

Outdoor Celebration
The East Bethel Fire Relief Association will have their 57th Annual Outdoor Celebration on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Booster Park West from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Fireworks at dusk. Live entertainment by "Maiden Dixie". (Note: There is an error in the Summer Newsletter, the live entertainment is by Maiden Dixie.) There will be a silent auction, and food and beverages available for purchase. No outside beverages allowed. Tickets are available at the gate for $5.00. Bring your raffle ticket stub and get into the dance for FREE.
